Who We Are
Community of Makers
We are a community of creative makers with expertise spanning robotics, electronics, mechanics, coding, and deep tech. We meet frequently and discuss the latest in DIY tech and celebrate each other’s creations, struggles and successes. We help solve problems through collaboration and mentorship. We’re here to help each other become better makers together. Don’t work alone on projects anymore as creations are best enjoyed when shared amongst curious folks.
Focused Guilds
Finally, people who speak your language! Whether you’re 15 or 75, we’re united by curiosity and a love of building. Share the excitement of a working prototype, get unstuck when you’re frustrated, find the motivation to finish that project gathering dust. We understand why you care about the details that others don’t get. We have organised our makers into guilds, each with a unique area for focused attention to your unique challenges.
Free Mentorship
Need help with projects you are working on or wish to embark on? With hundreds of combined years of experience, we share knowledge freely and grow together. Advice is always free. Materials are cheap and often available. Expect guidance, multiple solution options, and hands-on learning – not quick fixes. Need experience for your resume? Collaborate on real projects. Looking for employment or manufacturing contacts? Leverage our networks.

Ahmet introduced us to something genuinely exciting — a project that sits at the intersection of biology, mathematics, electronics, software and pure creative fun.
June 2026
The energy at the June session was electric. With 28 members filling the room — 12 of them returning faces alongside 16 new ones — it was our busiest gathering so far, and the vibe was everything we’d hoped for.
May 2026
On Sunday 3rd May our monthly meetup welcomed 15 new members to join the now-established group of 8. It was a very busy but successful introduction.
April 2026
The April meeting was cancelled being Easter Sunday but we did exhibit TechGuild projects at Hardware Freedom Day in collaboration with Linux Users Victoria at Inspire 9, Richmond.
March 2026
